Prisca Lupambo (Interim Executive Director): Prisca provides strategic management to develop, promote and increase the potential of all program activities of LEAD; ensuring systematic staff, program and asset fortification. Prisca has over 14 years' experience of multi-sectoral project management, evaluation, and community development in – water reticulation, micro credit, household food security, child sponsorship, endowment campaign, and community education and refugee settlement. She holds a Master's degree in Communication from Bethel University, Minnesota; a Program Development Advanced Certificate from the University of South Africa; and Bachelor's degree in Education from Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Michigan.
Anna Martin (Leadership Program Coordinator): Anna brings strong cross-cultural work experience from her work in India, Norway and Romania and from working as a refugee resettlement worker here in Minnesota. Anna is a Lily Grant Scholar from St. Olaf College and the recipient of a coveted Judd Fellowship from the University of MN. She has experience working in direct social services as an MFIP Employment Counselor, Youth Program Manager and Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Advocate (as well as refugee resettlement). Most recently, as an evaluation consultant in India and an evaluation assistant with a local social service research organization, she has gained practice in developing evaluation instruments that are tailored to diverse communities and their specific needs. Anna holds a Master's of Social Work (MSW) in Community Organizing and Advocacy and International Development - allowing LEAD to benefit from her program design, project management and evaluation strengths.
Mohamed Hassan (Restorative Justice Coordinator): Mohamed coordinates the Somali Restorative Justice Program and works with other community organizations to respond to youth related issues such as school violence. He has been in health and human services field for the past eight years. Mohamed has a Bachelor's degree of Science in Agriculture from Alexandria University, Egypt and a Master's degree of Community Economic Development from Southern New Hampshire University, New Hampshire. Mohamed has received several training certificates including domestic violence, financial literacy, income tax preparation, and radio production and is a member at Minnesota Public Radio, Minnesota Public Interest Group and Dar-Al-Hijra Cultural Center.
Qamar Ibrahim (Founder/Advisor): Qamar served as the Executive Director of LEAD since the organization's inception in 2000. She is currently away on a Bush Fellowship, pursuing a Master's Degree of Public Affairs from the Humphrey Institute. Qamar has a Master's of Public Health from the University of Michigan, a Management Certificate from the University of Connecticut, a Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of Somalia in Lafolle. She has over 30 years of diverse public and non-profit managerial experience. As the founder of the organization, Qamar continues to maintain her relationship with the organization in an advisory role.
